Chattahoochee Nature Center
This 127-acre nature center is located on the shores of the Chattahoochee River. It is a very peaceful retreat and an excellent place for kids to learn 
about the gardens and native plants at the center. The Discovery Center features interactive exhibits, hands-on activities, and live animal habitats to learn more about the Chattahoochee River watershed area. There are a number of hiking trails to observe the abundant plant and wildlife, as well as several gardens, including the Butterfly Garden, Native Gardens, George’s Living Wetlands, Green Roof Garden and Unity Garden. The Unity Garden grows fresh herbs, fruit, and vegetables using sustainable gardening practices. A majority of the food grown a the garden is donated to the North Fulton Community Charities food bank.
Old Roswell Mill Park
For the past 140 years, this site has had numerous mills on it. The only structures that are remaining in the area now are a cotton mill that was constructed in 1882 and an 1854 machine shop. It is a beautiful area to explore, relax and photograph due to the streams and waterful.
Roswell Ghost Tour

Bulloch Hall Historic House Museum
Major James Stephens Bullock, who was one of the first settlers in Roswell, built the Greek Revival style Bulloch Hall in 1839. The City of Roswell purchased the property to develop it as one of Roswell’s historic house museums, along with Barrington Hall and Smith Plantation. Bulloch Hall is open to the public for tours, special events, and educational activities.
Barrington Hall Historic House Museum
During the 1830s Roswell King and his son Barrington King co-founded the colony which later became Roswell, GA. Barrington built a magnificent mansion on the highest point that overlooked the town for the family. It is recognized today as one of the finest representations of Greek Revival architecture in the U.S. The City of Roswell purchased the property in 2005 and it is now the third historic house museum in the city. Barrington Hall was painstakingly restored and has been furnished with numerous original family possessions. There is also seven acres worth of original grounds to explore.
Smith Plantation Historic House Museum
This graceful home is located in the historic district of Roswell and was built by the Smith’s, one of the city’s founding families in 1845. Three Smith family generations preserved the home, and it is now open to the general public as a museum. The City of Roswell purchased the property to be developed, along with Barrington Hall and Bulloch Hall as the city’s trilogy of historic house museums. It is open to the general public for tours, special events and educational activities.
Alive In Roswell
This is a monthly free festival that is held on the 3rd Thursday of every month from 5-9 pm from April through October. It is a family-friendly event that is concurrently held at Historic Roswell Town Square and Historic Canton Street. The two venues are connected by trolley, which is a free service. This festival features food trucks, live bands, face painting, kids games and more. The venues are surrounded by many local restaurants, small businesses, and boutiques.
Roswell Farmers and Artisans Market
The market is open on Saturday mornings. It is a marketplace that offers fresh artisan and local farm foods directly from the producers. Half of the money spent goes directly back into Roswell’s local economy. There are fun, new things to do each week. Red Door Playhouse
This playhouse is a School for the Arts and Independent Theater Company. They offer Concerts, Summer Camps, Adult Improv Comedy, Summer Camps, and Drama classes for children and teens. River Sounds Concert Series
This is a free concert series that takes place every year. It is hosted at Riverside Park in Roswell. The concerts take place on the first Saturday of each month from 7 to 9 pm, starting in the month of May and running through October. There are food trucks at the park so that you can enjoy tasty food along with the great music.
Roswell Town Square
The city town square was built by founder Roswell King in 1839. In 1905 the bandstand was added when President Theodore Roosevelt came to visit the girlhood home of his mother. Today, the square hosts art shows as well as many other special events, festivals, and weddings.
Teaching Museum North
This museum hosts historical, social, and political exhibits documenting the history of the city of Roswell, the state of Georgia and the United States. It features items from World War II, Georgia authors, U.S. presidents and much more.
